Cinch Sports, Inc. ("Company", "we", "us", or "our") operates the Squadline mobile application and related services (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Service.

By using Squadline, you consent to the data practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Information We Collect

Information You Provide

• Account Information: Name, email address, password, phone number, and profile picture when you create an account
• Team Information: Team names, sport type, logos, and organizational details
• Player/Athlete Information: Names, dates of birth, jersey numbers, positions, and medical/emergency information provided by parents or guardians
• Communications: Messages, posts, comments, and other content you share through the Service
• Payment Information: When you subscribe or make payments, payment details are processed by Apple (for iOS App Store purchases) or Stripe (for other platforms). We do not store your full credit card numbers.
• Contact Information: With your explicit consent, we may access your device contacts to help you invite team members. Contacts are transmitted securely and only used for invitation purposes.

Information Collected Automatically

• Device Information: Device type, operating system, unique device identifiers, and app version
• Usage Data: Features used, pages viewed, actions taken, time and date of visits, and session duration
• Log Data: IP address, browser type, and error/crash reports
• Location: General location inferred from your IP address (we do not collect precise GPS location)

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
• Process subscriptions and payments
• Send transactional communications (account verification, password resets, team invitations)
• Provide team management features (rosters, scheduling, attendance, invoicing)
• Enable team communication (feed posts, chat, announcements)
• Send push notifications for events, messages, and team updates (you can opt out in device settings)
• Analyze usage patterns to improve the Service
• Detect, prevent, and address technical issues and security threats
• Respond to support requests

3. Information Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following circumstances:

• Within Your Team: Your name, profile picture, role, and team-related activity are visible to other members of your team(s)
• Service Providers: We use third-party services to operate the Service, including:
  • Stripe — payment processing
  • Apple — in-app purchase processing (iOS)
  • MongoDB Atlas — database hosting
  • Cloudflare — content delivery and security
  • Sentry — error tracking and crash reporting
  • Firebase — push notifications
  • Amplitude — analytics
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request
• Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred to the acquiring entity

4. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. When you delete your account, we will delete your personal information within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes (such as resolving disputes or enforcing our Terms).

Team data (rosters, events, posts) associated with a team may persist if other team members still have active accounts.

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including:

• Encryption of data in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest
• Secure authentication with JWT tokens
• Rate limiting and account lockout protections
• Regular security audits

No method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Children's Privacy

Squadline is designed for use by parents, coaches, and team managers to manage youth sports teams. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. Player profiles for minors are created and managed by their parent or legal guardian.

If you believe a child under 13 has provided us personal information without parental consent, please contact us at support@squadline.com and we will promptly delete it.

7. Your Rights and Choices

• Access and Update: You can access and update your account information through the app settings
• Delete Your Account: You can request account deletion through the app or by contacting us
• Push Notifications: You can disable push notifications through your device settings
• Contacts Access: You can deny or revoke contacts permission through your device settings
• Marketing Communications: You can opt out of promotional emails by using the unsubscribe link

California Residents (CCPA)

California residents have the right to: (a) know what personal information we collect, (b) request deletion of personal information, (c) opt out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell your data), and (d) not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

European Residents (GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area, you have additional rights including the right to access, rectify, port, and erase your data, and to restrict or object to processing. Contact us at support@squadline.com to exercise these rights.

The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy in the app or on our website and updating the "Effective Date" above. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
